		<description><![CDATA[Maybe the newspaper owners, who thought monopoly was an unalloyed good, might want to re-examine their silence as department stores--their primary advertisers--were merged out of existence.  Maybe the publishers&#039; short-sightedness about the merged death of their primary customers is not something readers should be punished for.]]></description>
